Draken is rushed to the hospital and suffers cardiac arrest. However, the operation performed on him is successful and Draken survives. Takemichi is subsequently crowned a “legend” for stopping the fight and relishes in his newfound popularity. He goes to visit Hinata one last time before he returns to the present, and gifts her a necklace. When he shakes hands with Naoto, he finds himself back at his old job (from which he was never fired). He goes to visit Atsushi at the hair salon he now works at and suddenly receives a call from Naoto, who reveals that the mission was successful and Hinata is alive.
