After shaking hands with Naoto, Takemichi returns to the present and reunites with the grown-up Naoto, who has survived and become a detective in order to protect his sister. Naoto tells Takemichi that he can travel through time and that the only way to save Hinata is to prevent Majiro Sano and Tetta Kisaki, the two people who changed the Tokyo Manji into a criminal organization, from ever meeting each other.
